- First off, Christian has already posted saying that this is a RUMOR and is
- not true. However, if it were true, why would Apple be upset? I am sure that they
- would not mind 5 million+ users that they did not have before suddenly buying
- Mac operating systems, games, and applications! I recently bought the operating system,
- and two games called Mist and Marathon for the Mac (I also buy Amiga games). From
- a Apple point of view, these are potential Mac owners in the future because the hardest
- part of switching to another platform is the cost of changing software not hardware. Apple
- benefits, developers for Apple benefit, and Apple does not have to spend a cent, so why
- would try to stop it? I am surprised they have not started selling the required ROMS. They
- have to make money any way they can now days!
- On another point, I for one, will stick to a platform that allows me to run software from pretty much
- any platform out there. Besides, I have found many Amiga programs to replace my PC ones. They run
- faster, are more stable, and they cost less. I am not an Amiga programmer, but I'd have to say that
- they are probably the most creative and best group of programing minds in the world, and if an Amiga
- programmer is reading this post, thank you.
